 May 18, 2008 Travel with Haddonfield - Chapter #140- to Lancaster -12/06/08

Travel with Haddonfield Chapter, OES
To Lancaster County, PA and visit the Amish or “Plain-Sect” communities. Hear Horse-drawn buggies clip-pity clop down the country roads. A tour guide will take us off the beaten path of traffic to give us an educational tour about the life of the Amish. We will learn all about the history, customs, beliefs and traditions, and all you ever wanted to know about the Amish and their way of life. Our four hour tour will begin at Kitchen Kettle Village with a first stop at an Amish Cemetery, a One Room School House, and a visit to a Quilt & Craft Shop, which is on a real Amish Farm and an Amish Bake Shop. We will also go to the Intercourse Pretzel factory and learn how to twist our own pretzels. We will see the Christmas Show at the American Music Theatre and finish the day with dinner on a real Amish Farm.

Saturday, December 6th the bus will leave the West Jersey Masonic Center at 8:00 am and return approximately 9:00 pm. The cost for this day of an extra-ordinary experience is $100.

Make your reservation with Joanne Parsels – 609-391-8143 or wiljoanne@yahoo.com

This would make a wonderful Christmas gift for someone

Laurel Springs OES #227 Trip to Miracle of Christmas

November 22, 2008

Christmas memories jump to life as a brand-new sensory experience highlights the return of Miracle of Christmas to the Millennium Theatre. As the aroma of special holiday treats fills your breath, you'll have the opportunity to interact with characters and animals from the Nativity story. The Millennium Theatre will be grandly decorated with lights, greenery, Nativity scenes and a spectacular thirty-foot Christmas tree.

But all of the holiday finery is only a prelude to the thrilling story of Christmas - Jesus the Messiah coming to earth in human form. Miracle of Christmas is the touching story of kings, angels and a simple, faithful couple used by God.
